太平镇 recently suffered from a plague, and to soothe the villagers, they planned to hold a water and land Buddhist ritual. On their way to Lingyin Temple, Holy Monk Daozhi and his师兄 Guangliang encountered a flower demon, marking the beginning of the story. Upon arriving at Lingyin Temple, they learned from County Magistrate Chen that a child had been bewitched by a female demon.
